The world-famous festival of light, music and ideas, Vivid Sydney returns in 2026 to illuminate the city with large-scale light installations and projections, free family events, cutting-edge music performances and thought-provoking ideas talks, workshops and conferences.
Darling Harbour is one of the main hubs of activity, transformed each night with art installations and stunning projections across the cityscape and harbour. Witness the wonders of the skies above Cockle Bay alight with Laser Lightfall, a spectacular laser show and a truly show-stopping spectacle. Plus, the beloved Vivid Sydney Drone Show returns for the first time since 2024 as Star-Bound: 22 mind-blowing shows across 11 nights.
Other highlights include Piano Walk, an S-shaped supersized set of ivories that sings out in song and colour as you step across and Afterimage: A Projection Mapped Mural, where a street art mural is brought to life each night with a 3D projection.
