PiOiK Bakery

Snack on freshly-baked golden croissants

We all have a weakness, and for some of us it’s bread. If we’re speaking your language, you will love this little family-run bakery tucked into a heritage terrace house, rolling out a small selection of artisanal breads and to-die-for pastries. PiOiK (pee-oyk) means ‘the bread’ in Coptic Egyptian, a nod to the language spoken by owners Shady and Rose, who lead the team in crafting flaky, golden croissants, preservative free sourdough loaves, and incredibly moreish chocolate biscuits. Grab a coffee and an Egyptian breakfast to go and enjoy them waterside in nearby Pirrama Park. Check their website for trading hours, as they tend to open mornings later in the week and on weekends only.
