Pirrama Park

Picnic at this lush green harbourside park

Soak up the views, sun and harbourside breeze from the lush greens of Pirrama Park, one of Sydney’s best and biggest waterside nature strips. There’s 1.8 hectares of space to explore, dotted with free barbeques, covered picnic areas, cafes, running tracks, scultpures and a new playground with a giant sandpit and water fountains. Formerly known as Pyrmont Point Park, it was renamed in honour of the traditional owners of the land, Gadigal people of the Eora Nation, with Pirrama meaning ‘rocking stone’. The area hosts the annual Pyrmont Festival of Wine, Food and Art each May. You can continue to explore the bays district and harbour views along the neighbouring boardwalks and wharves, or piece it all together for one of Sydney’s best but lesser known runs, starting and ending at our hotel.
