Laneways, coffee culture & harbour breezes
Ok, we get it. You didn’t just come here for us.
There’s a big, bad world out there waiting to be explored. We promise not to get jealous when you leave the hotel to see what else is on offer in our neighbourhood… be it in search of a hole-in-the-wall cafe for a wake-me-up coffee or a dose of dopamine on a jog around the Sydney Harbour foreshore against a pink-and-orange-sunset sky.
You can effortlessly soak up all the fascinating and fun things to do beyond our building, on foot. Frolick the harbour foreshore, potter pretty parks and tree-lined streets, wander hidden laneways, explore cafes galore with alfresco seating, crawl some of Australia’s oldest pubs and newest small bars, take up a table at Sydney’s top restaurants, shop something special at little boutiques, and catch a play or performance. And that’s just in the village of Pyrmont.
Based in a Sydney city suburb that’s an extension of the central business district, you’ll be rubbing shoulders with the attractions, dining and entertainment precincts of Darling Harbour, Barangaroo, Chinatown and Darling Square. Within easy walking distance are Circular Quay, The Rocks, Pitt Street Mall, Town Hall and Martin Place. Or you can jump on a bike for a two-wheel adventure along the dedicated cycleway and path right outside our hotel, leading into the CBD, over the Sydney Harbour Bridge or west across Anzac Bridge. Hop in an Uber, bus, light rail, train or a ferry to go further afield.
Ask our hosts for the inside word on best spots around town. They’re your personal pocket guide to finding the best coffee, Instagram-worthy water views and quirky local characters.
